Freestyle with Lowri Davies

1st February 2024 was an evening full of fun and great vibes as Lowri Davies visited the club for a session of freestyle coaching.

As part of TCC’s efforts to promote freestyle within the club and wider, we organised for one of the country’s top freestyle coaches, Lowri Davies, to visit the club for a session of coaching to help progress club members’ skills. It’s fair to say that the evening was a huge success, with member’s making some very solid progression, including stern stalls, bow stalls, and loops!

The atmosphere was buzzing, with members turning up for poolside support as well as to take part in the pool itself! People with all levels of skill took part, with participant rotations taking place throughout the evening due to the high attendance numbers. With this level of interest and enthusiasm, the freestyle scene in the Midlands and Shropshire areas looks very positive indeed.

This was the first event of many, and we not only intend to run more similar events at the pool, but also throughout the summer months at Jackfield. With some of our younger members already taking part in the Burners events and others organised by GB Freestyle at Holme Pierrepont in Nottingham, there’s a very bright future ahead.
