Committee Update
As a result of the recent resignations of several members of TCC Committee there are now a number of vacant Committee positions which need to be filled.
The Constitution allows for new Committee members to be appointed by the remaining Committee members. It is the intention of the Committee to fill these positions to allow for the continued smooth functioning of the Club, and to allow existing commitments to be honoured.
Any appointments will be on an interim basis, with those positions either being confirmed or filled by a new member at the next AGM / EGM
Applications are now invited from members for the following Committee positions:
Chair
Vice Chair
Secretary
Membership Secretary
The closing date for applications for the above positions will be 17:00 Friday 9th June 2023. Please email your application to admin@telfordcanoeclub.co.uk
A list of all applicants will be distributed by email to all members shortly after the application deadline has passed.
All applicants will need to be seconded by a member.
If a position receives more than one application, the successful member will be decided by a vote to be carried out by email, replies to be received by 17:00 Saturday June 10th.
Any positions that have a single, seconded application will automatically be approved as an interim Committee member to that position if no objections are received by 17:00 Saturday 10th June 2023.
While we appreciate that these timescales are aggressive, it is important that an interim Committee is installed as quickly as possible to allow for the smooth running of the Club; your support is appreciated.
The Constitution requires 21 days notice for an AGM or EGM. Details of the next AGM / EGM will be forwarded to members in due course. This will then give us more time to hold a full and proper meeting.
