2027 AGM 7th Nov

Hi All, Telford CC AGM will be on the evening of 7th Nov at Jackfield 6pm onwards. It will be a similar format to last year, with BBQ and Talk / photos, but maybe a bit more AGM business. There will be an event on the website for signup, so we know how many to cater for. The site will be available for camping for those who wish to stay over, and there will be paddling going on in the afternoon / Sunday morning (level dependant).
We are seeking volunteers for people who’d like to get more involved in the running of the club, and have several roles available for suitable candidates.
I hope as many of you as possible will turn up, so that you can find what is going on, and the plans for next year.

We are also looking for expressions of interest of club members who wish to renew or take the 2 day first aid course. We have several members needing to renew, and will be looking to organise a weekend date early in the new year.

Similarly we are looking for paddlers interested in undertaking leader / coach training & assessments. There are a number of levels of courses available, such as Paddlesport Leader, Paddlesport Touring Leader, White Water Leader and others, offering a progression through the Paddle UK coaching and leadership scheme. Please contact us if interested in any of the above opportunities. Without more qualified leaders, we cannot offer a schedule of club sessions.

The club can offer to partly or fully fund these courses / assessments based on your current / future involvement in club sessions.

We are also now re-affiliated with PaddleUK. A number of new club policies are available on the website for you to read. If you haven’t already done so, and you are a Paddle UK member, please can you update your profile to include Telford Canoe Club, so that we can see you as members via the club portal.
